While one residential home suffered minor damage due to the crash, the department's dedication to safeguarding the community was evident.

For over five decades, the annual "Ham Supper" served as a cherished tradition that brought neighbors together through food and music. From 1966 until 2019, this event fostered community engagement and solidarity. While the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic impacted subsequent gatherings, the bond between the department and the community remains as strong as ever.
